- When the law took effect
- 5 August 2025, the date of publication and entry into force.
- When old contracts end
- Seven years from that date for residential units, and five years for non-residential units.
- Annual increase
- 15% per year during the transition period.
- Minimum rent values
- These differ by area classification (premium, middle, economic) and are set by committees formed in each governorate.
- Alternative housing
- The law gives residential tenants priority for an alternative unit, to rent or to buy, under conditions set by the competent authorities.
